MY RECENT PROJECTS

  • 50 Fenchurch Street – I was appointed by The Clothworkers’ Company to advise on their island site on Fenchurch Street. The planning application sought approval for a sustainable, modern 36 storey office led development. The scheme proposed a significant increase in office floorspace (94,336 sq m GIA) in a highly accessible location, along with retail accommodation and the re-provision of the Clothworkers’ Hall.
  • Museum of London – I advised the Museum of London to achieve planning permission for the Museum’s new home at West Smithfield, providing a world-class temporary exhibition space, substantial expansion of learning facilities and greater visibility of the Museum’s collections and research arms. The scheme proposes over 40,000 sq m (GEA) in a mix of commercial uses. As part of the same application, I worked on behalf of the City Corporation on the Annexe site regeneration, for a mix of commercial uses.
  • 6-8 Bishopsgate – I advised Mitsubishi Estates and Stanhope on the redevelopment of a prominent site at 6-8 Bishopsgate and 150 Leadenhall Street. The application involved the demolition of the existing buildings and the erection of a part 10, part 25 and part 50 storey building providing over 85,000 sq m GEA of Class B1 office floorspace, with some flexible Class B1, A1, A3 uses. The building also provides a public viewing gallery on the top floor.
  • Emperor House, Vine Street – I advised Urbanest on securing planning permission for an exciting new building accommodating 600 new student rooms alongside 7,700 sq m of Grade A office and incubator space for start-up businesses. The new, highly sustainable, building sits comfortably in this tight urban block and has facilitated the restoration and opening up of a large section of London’s Roman City Wall to the public as part of an exhibition space.
