I’m a Senior Associate Building Surveyor in our Building Consultancy team, based in the Birmingham office. I specialise in a variety of commercial and industrial surveying services incorporating technical due diligence, contract administration, party wall and landlord and tenant advice.

I’m a Building Consultancy specialist with 12 years’ industry experience. My experience spans across a multitude of sectors ranging between the project and professional service spectrum of Building Surveying acting on behalf of investors, property companies, private individuals, landlords and tenants.

I work for a broad range of our client base throughout the UK, including local authorities, housing associations and private sector developers and occupiers including Whitbread, Travis Perkins, Ericsson UK, Carlsberg, Ocado, Peugeot Citroen and Swissport.

 

MY RECENT PROJECTS

  • Project Management/Contract Administration – I acted as Contract Administrator on behalf of Soho Estates Ltd for the external Conservation repair of the Windmill Theatre in the heart of Soho, London. Works involved the replacement of the terracotta glazed faience which had been damaged during the World War II blitz, together with wholescale overhaul of all flat and pitch roofs with a project value of £500,000. My involvement included inspection and specification writing, competitive tender, tender analysis, managing the contractor and stakeholder interests, liaison and coordination of various sub-consultants, administering the terms of the JCT Contract through to practical completion.
  • Contract Administration/Project Management – I have provided pre-contract design advice and post-contract administrative and management services for the reinstatement and refurbishment for various property types from inception through to completion, including advice on procurement methods, statutory approvals and contractual matters. The project values range from £50,000 to £2million and some recent examples include the refurbishment and fit-out of Ericsson’s new UK headquarters in Reading (£3.63million), and Peugeot Citroens’ UK headquarters (£750K).
  • Dilapidations – I regularly prepare notional dilapidations assessments for our extensive client base, advising on their expected level of lease exit liability across their property portfolio. My recent involvement includes providing dilapidations assessment advice on behalf of WH Smiths in Newquay and Bodmin, Cornwall, Matthew Clark in Birmingham (£400,000) and Cummins in Margate (£1.83million)
