I have worked in the commercial property sector for over twenty years and have significant experience throughout Scotland and beyond. I have advised on numerous transactions including sales, purchases and lettings as well as development appraisal and valuation advice, primarily within the industrial and office sectors. I also provide corporate advice to a variety of clients and have been involved with a number of investment transactions including multi-asset property portfolios.

I have carried out numerous property acquisitions and disposals of leasehold and freehold interests for office, industrial, hotel and development properties throughout Scotland.

I have acted and continue to act on behalf of a number of major PLCs, local companies, local authorities and NHS trusts. Some of my existing clients include AG Barr, Northern Trust, British Car Auctions, Hertz, Arthur J Gallagher, Michelin, Aggregate Industries, Scotland Gas Networks, EDF Energy, Yodel, Scottish Ambulance Service, Whitbread, LaFarge Tarmac, PSA Peugeot Citroen, Brakes, ATS Euromaster, AG Barr, Ocado and Chivas.

MY RECENT PROJECTS

• KPMG acting as administrators – I was instructed as the marketing agent / adviser by KPMG for property including a series of buildings, the majority of which were purpose designed / built to house a significant amount of machinery for timber production. We carried out a full open market campaign including direct targeting to potential occupiers and developers. The selling price we achieved of £150,000 per acre was very good and the clients were very pleased with the outcome and our services.
• Chivas Brothers (part of Pernod Ricard group) – I acted on the search and acquisition of new headquarter offices in Glasgow on a leasehold basis. I secured premises in Blythswood Square and negotiated a favourable deal for the 28,000 sq ft building.
• Yodel – I have advised the management team on matters for Yodel for a number of years and this has included the disposal of premises in Inverness, Aberdeen, East Kilbride, Edinburgh, Newbridge, Irvine and other locations. I also advised on the acquisition of a property in Livingston which was subsequently described by their MD as their ‘best depot yet’. I subsequently won an award for ‘Industrial Deal of the Year’ for this particular transaction.
