I joined Gerald Eve in 2020 to launch our Capital Partners business, where we focus on the conception, development and execution of progressive UK CRE investment strategies on behalf of, and in partnership with, 3rd party capital. I specialise in investment strategy & management, capital raising and investor relations.

I worked for BNP Paribas Real Estate for 5 years from 2010, starting in the UK investment business before taking a strategic role as the representative for the firm’s EMEA & Asia businesses in the US. In 2015 I joined Square Metre Asset Management, a firm best known as operating partner to Goldman Sachs in the successful acquisition, management and disposal of over £1bn of UK commercial real estate between 2013 and 2019. There I oversaw the firm’s investment management function. In 2019 I joined Praxis Capital, a hybrid family office and private equity investor in UK CRE, with a focus on capital raising, investment strategy and investment management.

I work with a broad range of capital partners including private equity funds, banks, multi-family offices, UHNWs, institutions, pension funds and local authorities.

MY RECENT PROJECTS

  • Capital Raising – In 2019, originated £50M of programmatic joint venture equity from a newly raised PE fund, to be levered and deployed into an opportunistic, UK physical retail strategy targeting mis-priced risk in the convenience space.
  • Investment Management – The Alecta Portfolio – The successful acquisition, management and ultimate exit of a mis-priced, UK pension fund portfolio comprising 26 commercial assets throughout the UK. It was acquired during a period of material capital market dislocation in the immediate aftermath of the UK’s referendum on EU membership, for ~£350M in a co-invested joint venture partnership with Goldman Sachs.  Substantial market outperformance was delivered through acquisition timing, diligent business planning, precise asset management execution, wholesale-to-retail value, and astute hold-sell acumen.
  • Investment Strategy – Indigo & Omega Portfolios – Strategic sell-down of 45% of Square Metre Asset Management’s & Goldman Sachs’ post-financial crisis strategy. Having recognised a flood of equity into the market into which the JV had bought 2+ years earlier, a detailed hold-sell analysis was undertaken to identify where outsized return could be achieved, on a risk-adjusted basis, for a wholesale rather than retail sale strategy.  A recommendation to sell an institutional portfolio, an opportunistic portfolio and hold a select few assets was adopted, ultimately resulting material market outperformance across the portfolio.
