David Shaw

I have 30 years of experience gained in the real estate consultancy and banking sectors.

Following initial training as a Chartered Surveyor in Scotland, I specialised in the City of London market providing advice on the acquisition and disposal of commercial real estate investments initially working for Conrad Ritblat and latterly as a Partner with Gerald Eve.

In 2003 I joined a private client business providing real estate services to HNW investors before moving in 2005 to the investment bank arm of RBS to work in a structured real estate finance team. I latterly led a small team within RBS Corporate providing real estate finance to Private Equity funds and asset managers.

I resigned from RBS in 2018 join real estate tech start up Native Finance before taking up a consultancy position with Gerald Eve Corporate Finance in 2020.

I act or a range of customers from SME developers and HNW investors through to institutional and private equity sponsors.

MY RECENT PROJECTS

• Westcore Europe – sourced and arranged investment facilities of c. £12m / 65% LTV to enable the purchase of a multi let industrial property in Hull.
• Altum Capital  – sourced and arranged investment facilities of £26.5m  / 60% LTV for the acquisition of a supermarket investment in Irlam, Manchester.
