I am experienced in the rating valuation of retail and restaurant properties with a particular specialism in large retail stores. I am an experienced negotiator and have attended tribunal on numerous occasions over the years. I am on the GPCR 2017 RSA Town committee coordination team.

MY RECENT PROJECTS

• Large Retail Stores – On the 2017 Rating List, I have an ongoing involvement in large shop work primarily representing Debenhams and coordinating large shop responses to the Valuation Office. With significant change in the sector this has involved much work surrounding their CVA and Administration as well as re-visiting the appropriate valuation approach in a sector which has encountered major challenges.
• Valuation tribunal success on the largest shop within Liverpool Street Station. The contested points related to the compiled list entry and the impact of nearby works and saved the client in excess of £1,500,000.
• Valuation Tribunal success in relation to establishing the principle of the adverse impact of partial underground closure at Tottenham Court Road. Having established the principle with a scale of reductions on Tottenham Court Road the VO continued to resist application elsewhere and another case was run to cover Oxford Street.
