Martin Forbes

Since joining Gerald Eve in 2008 I have gained considerable experience in the preparation of valuations for accounting and financial statements purposes within both the public and private sectors. I also have experience of valuing for loan security purposes and of preparing development appraisals.

I have undertaken a number of loan security valuations on a variety of property types including commercial property and development sites on behalf of clients including banks and building societies such as Santander, HSBC, The Co-operative Bank, Nationwide, RBS and Clydesdale Bank.

I am also responsible for the valuations for accounts and general purposes of commercial and specialised properties in Scotland for a range of clients such as the Universities of Edinburgh, Glasgow, Stirling and Queen Margaret, Highlands and Islands Airports, NHS Lanarkshire, NHS Shetland, NHS Orkney and part of NHS Highland. These asset valuations total to in excess of £1 billion.

MY RECENT PROJECTS

• NHS Lanarkshire – I undertook the asset valuation of the entire property estate with a value in excess of £500M.

• West Dunbartonshire Council – I undertook the asset valuation of part of their property estate with a value in excess of £250M.

• East Dunbartonshire Council – I undertook the asset valuation of part of their property estate which has a value in excess of £200M.
