I have widespread experience in valuation and rating work with an emphasis on properties in the leisure and retail sector. I direct and manage our software development team responsible for our Sesame, Retrieve and Generate products, which provide a platform for rating, corporate real estate management and property management finance, as well as providing our core job management tool. I have managed integrations between these in-house developed application and proprietary software including MS Dynamics, SharePoint and Infor SunAccounts, as well as bespoke interfaces with clients’ systems.

My key clients include: Whitbread Hotels & Restaurants, Costa Limited, WH Smith, Boots and Pizza Express.

MY RECENT PROJECTS

• Providing valuation models and analysis for large property portfolios – I was responsible for assembling tenure data, validating accounts data, creating valuation model templates, analysing and moderating draft data, preparation of valuation reports and portfolio analysis for hundreds of properties and developments sites.
• Development of invoicing and sales ledger application – I advised on the creation of end user interface to allow raising of invoices by distributed user base and processing by central finance team, eliminating rekeying of data and providing suite of self-service reports.
• Development of our Sesame rating application – I was responsible for extending our in-house rating application to reflect changes in the rating system, connecting with Valuation Office new APIs for challenging rating assessments, improving the user interface for clients of our rates payments management service to provide payment details and copies of rates demands. I provided data modelling of impacts of rating revaluation and transition schemes to support lobbying efforts and predict UBR.
