I lead some of Gerald Eve’s national portfolio valuation instructions for the north and north eastern region, providing advice to national and local property holding bodies and major high street lending institutions. My work relates to the office, retail and industrial sectors.

I also advise on a wide variety of strategic leasehold consultancy matters including rent reviews / lease renewals as well as compensation work.

I head up several of our national portfolio client property taxation service contracts and I also represent clients in the County Court on lease consultancy matters including other third party representation work as well as the Valuation Tribunal appearance work, in capacity as an Expert Witness.

I am one of our company’s rating specialists handling 2010 and 2017 appeal work. I manage some of our larger national client portfolios to include AS Watson, Specsavers, Done Brothers, Beaconsfield Footwear and BMB Fashion. I also manage several local authority clients encompassing specialist property types.

MY RECENT PROJECTS

• In an ever challenging CCA environment, I’m responsible for some of the larger national high street retail names. This includes driving the rates management of AS Watson to include fascias Superdrug, 3UK, Savers and The Perfume Shop. The 2010 cash savings achieved for the national portfolio have so far totalled circa £14M and with a similar cash savings performance to date being generated for the 2017 valuation list with appeal work now being governed by ever demanding Check Challenge Appeal procedures.
• I remain heavily involved in portfolio valuation work on a variety of property types to include national trade counter client valuation instructions such as ATS. I also undertake regional A1 retail portfolio asset valuation work for clients to include Yorkshire Building Society.
• I provide ongoing lease consultancy advice to Wolseley Group in the form of rent review and strategic lease renewal work covering portfolio matters in the Yorkshire and the north east of England.
